One day, my family is eating pizza for a late-afternoon snack. My daughter grabbed a piece of ham on her pizza and asked my father, "Lolo, what is this?"

"That's ham," my dad replied.

"That's botiba," Aira said. Botiba is just some random word that she invented.

"That's ham, baby" Dad tried to argue.

"No, that's not ham, that's botiba!" Aira insisted.

They continued on the argument while my mom and I kept munching on pizza while watching them.

"What is this, Lolo?"

"That's botiba," Dad gave up and just replied in defeat.

"No, Lolo. That's ham..."

Mama Doing Something

One day, my daughter Aira wanted to use the PC so she could play Barbie makeover. "Not yet," I said. "Mama is doing something."

Yesterday, I approached her while she's playing Barbie on the PC. I needed to print her homework for school. "Aira, can I use the computer?" I asked.

"No," she said firmly. "Mama doing something."
